Thailand's dominance of Southeast Asian football continues as they defeated Vietnam 3-2 on aggregate in the final to win the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022 at Thammasat Stadium in Bangkok on Monday.

A successful title defence gives Thailand a record-extending seventh AFF Championship title as Alexandre Polking's side edged Vietnam 1-0 in the second leg of the final, powered by a Theerathon Bunmathan strike in the first half.

A number of players shone brightly in a tightly contested second leg of the final, but we have picked four who stood out for their national teams in Bangkok.

Now we ask you, the fans, to vote for the one player who deserves to be the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022 final, second leg Player of the Round.

Do not forget to cast your vote below!

Sasalak Haiprakhon (Thailand)

Sasalak Haiprakhon can now boast of an AFF Championship title to go with the growing collection of silverware from club level he won over the years at Buriram United. The 27-year-old deservedly had a winner's medal hanging around his neck at Thammasat Stadium after he played in all eight of Thailand's outings at the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022.

In the second leg of the final, Sasalak registered 52 touches, completed 32 passes at an 86 percent success rate and made two key passes against a solid Vietnam side. The former Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors defender also made two clearances and won four duels in Bangkok to lift his first AFF Championship title.

Nguyen Hoang Duc (Vietnam)

Though his nation failed in its bid to win a third AFF Championship title, 25-year-old Nguyen Hoang Duc put in another impressive shift at the heart of the Vietnam midfield in the second leg. He had 55 touches and won four of the seven duels he competed for as the two teams battled for midfield supremacy.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Viettel midfielder also came closest to a Vietnam goal in Bangkok on Monday. With his team needing goals, Hoang Duc tried his luck from distance and almost found an equaliser as his swerving shot marginally missed the goal in the second half.  With two assists and a goal for himself, Hoang Duc can nonetheless look back on an impressive campaign and hope to build on it in the future.

Kritsada Kaman (Thailand)

While it was Vietnam's defence that earned the plaudits as they kept six clean sheets in a row on their way to the final, it was Thailand who put on a defensive masterclass during the final second leg in Bangkok. And much of the credit for that solid showing goes to Kritsada Kaman who partnered with Pansa Hemviboon and Weerathep Pomphan to keep Nguyen Quang Hai and company silent in the crucial game.

The 23-year-old Chonburi FC defender started and played every minute of Thailand's eight matches in the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022. In Bangkok on Monday, Kritsada made three clearances and two interceptions as he won his second AFF Championship title with the War Elephants.

Theerathon Bunmathan (Thailand)

Captain, leader, scorer of the championship-winning goal and a legend that keeps on growing -- Theerathon Bunmathan was impeccable throughout the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022, accounting for a tournament high six assists. But on Monday, he was the game changer, netting his first goal of the campaign that ultimately lifted Thailand to the top of Southeast Asian football once again.

The 32-year-old's strike from distance in the 24th minute was a huge blow for Park Hang-seo's side and the visitors never looked likely to recover from then on. Theerathon had 83 touches during the second leg of the final and completed 56 passes at a success rate of 80 percent, while also making three key passes and two interceptions -- it was truly a captain's performance.
