Yakob Sayuri (Indonesia)

Yakob Sayuri only came on with less than 30 minutes go and Indonesia already 4-0 up against Brunei DS, but the 25-year-old left the pitch with not just two assists, but also a goal to his name. It took the PSM Makassar man only five minutes to expertly pick out Ramadhan Sananta enabling the youngster score his first international goal before assisting Marc Klok in the 86th minute. He then went on to score one for himself heading home a cross from Edo Febriansah.

Teerasil Dangda (Thailand)

Teerasil Dangda scored his 21st and 22nd goals in the AFF Championship history in Thailand's 4-0 win over the Philippines. He headed in the opener just three minutes in before making no mistake from the penalty spot to double the lead before the interval. However, the 34-year-old's finest moment of the game perhaps came in the 57th minute when he exquisitely killed a cross from the opposite wing and then played a ball back across the goal for Adisak Kraisorn to score Thailand's third.

Irfan Fandi (Singapore)

Irfan Fandi not only scored Singapore's opening goal against a difficult Laos side in Vientiane, but also was a solid presence in their defence not letting the home side through despite their frequent forays forward. The 25-year-old BG Pathum United centre-back made three interception during the 90 minutes and only lost out in two of the 12 duels he was involved in during the Group B fixture as the Lions made it two wins from two matches.

Dang Van Lam (Vietnam)

The 29-year-old goalkeeper kept out all three of Malaysia's shots on target as Vietnam posted a 3-0 win in Hanoi. His team down to 10 men, Dang Van Lam denied Mukhairi Ajmal twice at the end of the first half to preserve Vietnam's 1-0 lead before Que Ngoc Hai gave the Golden Star Warriors the cushion of a second in the 64th minute. Park Hang-seo will hope the shot-stopper has as impressive a tournament as the 2018 edition with Vietnam looking to win their third ASEAN title.
