Asnawi Mangkualam (Indonesia)

Asnawi Mangkualam, one of the driving forces behind Indonesia's run to the final of the 2020 edition, continues to be in top form at the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022 and helped the Garuda take another step towards a place in the semi-finals. It was the 23-year-old who won the penalty from which his side took the lead against Thailand as his shot struck the arm of Theerathon Bunmathan. Asnawi was also solid defensively making two interceptions and three clearances during the 1-1 draw.

Lim Pisoth (Cambodia)

Cambodia were struggling to break down a stubborn Brunei Darussalam when Lim Pisoth came on as a substitute at half-time with the score at 1-1, and the Phnom Penh Crown attacker was explosive to say the least. The substitute hit the woodwork with a header in the 63rd minute and then won the penalty from which Cambodia went 3-1 up. The 21-year-old then put the icing on the cake scoring two goals in the 80th and 89th minutes to help the Angkor Warriors win 5-1 and keep their semi-final hopes alive going into final outing.

Soukaphone Vongchiengkham (Laos)

It was a historic evening for Soukaphone Vongchiengkham as he not just became most-capped player for Laos with his 55th appearance, but also marked the milestone by scoring the opener against Myanmar. That strike also helped the 30-year-old go joint-second among Laos' all-time top goalscorers with 15 goals -- now only behind Visay Phaphouvanin. Soukaphone's game was cut short at half-time, but Laos still managed to hold on to a draw, claiming their first point in the AFF Championship since 2012.

Irfan Fandi (Singapore)

Irfan Fandi was again immense for Singapore as they held Vietnam to a creditable draw. The 25-year-old made an incredible eight clearances and an interception during the 90 minutes against the 2018 champions. Vietnam probed for a win, but hardly had any clear chances to find a breakthrough against Singapore for whom Irfan marshalled the defence with panache for the clean sheet. The Lions will hope Irfan puts in another shift against Malaysia in their final group stage outing to book a place in the semis.
