Jakarta, November 2: Indonesian coach Bima Sakti, and national players Andritany Ardhiyasa and Febri Hariyadi will be part of the celebrations when the AFF Suzuki Cup Trophy Tour arrives in Jakarta, this coming Sunday, November 4.

The trio and the famous trophy will be at Kota Kasablanka from 2pm onwards, where fans will get a fantastic opportunity to take photos with the popular coach and two of the country’s finest players.

Sakti, one of Indonesia’s most capped players, only recently officially took the helm of the national team and is hoping to finally lead Indonesia to their first victory in the AFF Suzuki Cup.

They have finished runners-up on five occasions, including two years ago.

Goalkeeper Andritany, who plays for Persija Jakarta, was part of that Indonesian squad who finished runners-up in 2016 while Febri, the Persib Bandung winger, made his debut for his country last year.

The first matches of the AFF Suzuki Cup kick-off on November 8 but in the lead-up to the tournament the trophy has been touring the region.

The trophy has already made stops in Cambodia, Myanmar, Manila and Bangkok. Today it is in Hanoi before heading to Jakarta.

Under the new group stage format, Indonesia’s home games could prove critical in a tough-looking Group B that also includes five-time champions Thailand, Singapore, who have won the title four times, Philippines and Timor-Leste.

After starting their campaign with a tricky away game against Singapore on November 9, Indonesia play qualifiers Timor-Leste at home on November 13, Thailand away on November 17 and in their last group match they tackle the Philippines on November 25.
