It was a match that will go down as one of the all-time AFF Suzuki Cup classics as Indonesia finally saw off a Singapore side that ended their semi-final, second leg, clash with just eight players on the field – and with star striker Ikhsan Fandi in goal.

120 minutes of twists and turns, thrills and heartbreak that saw several exceptional performers on both teams as the Lions bow out of the tournament and the Garuda progress through to their sixth AFF Suzuki Cup final.

It’s time now for you, the fans, to determine just who was the Player of the Match from this epic semi-final; make sure to vote below!

Pratama Arhan (Indonesia)

The roving left fullback once again was a standout at both ends of the pitch where, defensively, he made nine recoveries and four clearances with an interception and a perfect tackle rate.

Going forward he was a constant threat with his passing and crossing and also scored the decisive late goal that forced the match to extra time.

Witan Sulaeman (Indonesia)

The 20-year-old just keeps getting better and better with every match and he’s gone from a name to watch at the start of the tournament to now being Indonesia’s main creative threat.

Six key passes, 41 passes in the opposition half and 14 final third entries led the way for the Garuda and it was yet another silky assist that saw his nation open the scoring early on.

Shahdan Sulaiman (Singapore)

Backing up a strong first-leg performance, the experienced midfielder was once again a star presence for the Lions.

Four key passes, 28 passes in the opponent’s half and 18 passes in the final third were all team highs but it was the stunning 74th minute freekick that put Singapore ahead for the first time that was the highlight in a fine individual showing.

Hassan Sunny (Singapore)

The four goals that Singapore conceded tells only a very small part of the story as Hassan Sunny turned in one of the most memorable performances in the tournament.

Of the official tally of 13 shots that he faced, the veteran keeper made 10 saves, many of them absolutely top-drawer efforts that ran through everything from diving, fingertip, moments right through to brave, close-range, body-on-the-line type of ones.
