Matchday Three of the 2020 AFF Suzuki Cup certainly didn’t fail to disappoint as it was raining goals in Singapore. A scarcely believable 20 goals were scored across the four matches so it made for some tough choices in compiling the nominees.

Now it’s over to the fans to determine who will walk away with the honour of having scored the 2020 AFF Suzuki Cup Goal of the Round for Matchday Three.

Make sure to vote in the poll below.

Teerasil Dangda (Thailand)

On an evening when Teerasil Dangda went joint top of the all-time AFF Suzuki Cup scoring charts he once again displayed all the qualities that have made him such a devastating finisher for the better part of a decade with this effort showcasing his technique, vision, control and deadly accuracy.

Nguyen Quang Hai (Vietnam)

After a period of dominance, Vietnam took the lead against Malaysia shortly after the half hour when their star man smashed home a unstoppable shot from adjacent to the penalty spot. A delightful pass from an off-balance Nguyen Tuan Anh released Nguyen Quang Hai who did the rest with power and placement, as we’ve come to expect from him.

Martin Steuble (Philippines)

There was little sign of the procession of goals that was to follow when Martin Steuble grabbed the first in the Philippines' 7-0 win over Timor-Leste. The veteran defender doesn’t score too many and it’s unlikely that he’ll produce many more like this absolute thunderbolt from distance.

Nguyen Cong Phuong (Vietnam)

Vietnam’s second was another fine effort and a goal that put them in complete control against Malaysia. A superb backheel flick from Quang Hai released Nguyen Cong Phuong, who did the rest in some fashion as he powered into the box on his right foot, propped onto his left and stroked past Khairul Fahmi at his near post.

Witan Sulaeman (Indonesia)

With a match that Indonesia were expected to win firmly in the balance this third goal of the evening from Witan Sulaeman was not only well-taken but also a vital one. After the Garuda won the ball in their own half, it took four swift passes before substitute Witan raced downfield and stroked home a low effort from the top of the box.

Nguyen Hoang Duc (Vietnam)

Capping off a fine Vietnam win was the third in a series of superb goals, this one coming via midfielder Nguyen Hoang Duc. With Tuan Anh winning the ball inside his own half, he released Hoang Duc who strode towards goal, went past a couple of defenders and then guided his shot into the far corner.
