From Yangon to Phnom Penh and Bacolod to Singapore there were some key performers in matchday four of the AFF Suzuki Cup that drove their respective nations to collect vital points in a bid to advance their hopes of reaching the knockout stage.

Kyaw Zin Htet (Myanmar) 

The Myanmar keeper was a key presence in goal for the hosts as they held a highly fancied Vietnam side in check in a scoreless draw in Yangon.

In making a string of key saves the 28-year-old custodian helped preserve an impressive defensive record for the Asian Lions who have only conceded twice at the tournament.

Alvaro Silva (Philippines)

A strong and assured performance in defence in his tournament debut for the Philippines. Kept top scorer Adisak Kraisorn quiet for most of the night and was instrumental in building the Azkals’ attack from the back.

Sos Suhana (Cambodia)

A typically industrious showing from the central midfielder who turned in his best performance of the finals whilst also contributing a key assist for the third goal as the Angkor Warriors picked up their first win with a 3-1 defeat of Laos.

Ikhsan Fandi (Singapore)

A constant thorn in the side of the Timor-Leste defence, his power and skill was too much to handle and his spectacular overhead goal will go down as one of the tournament's best.
