Sydney, 11 August 2022 – Leading online forex and CFD platform, TMGM has announced today their return as the Official Online Forex and CFD Broker of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) crown jewel tournament, the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022.

Brokered by SPORTFIVE, AFF’s exclusive commercial rights partner, this renewed partnership will see TMGM continue their support in the growth of ASEAN football after their successful sponsorship of the 2020 edition of the AFF Championship. With the aim of further strengthening their brand presence in South East Asia, especially in key markets like Vietnam and Indonesia, TMGM will look to build on last year’s success and work closely with AFF to curate new and exciting experiences for the fans in the region.

In addition to branding and on-site entitlements, TMGM will have a stronger digital presence this year through the launch of a social media campaign themed ‘Players to Watch’. The campaign will feature nine players that have been identified to make a difference to their teams’ chances and that fans should look out for throughout the tournament. Each of the player’s football statistics across previous AFF Championship appearances will be tracked and highlighted on the official tournament platforms and on TMGM’s social media over nine match days.

TMGM Chief Commercial Officer, Nick Yang added, “TMGM is always on the look out to provide engaging experiences for our clients and we can’t wait to launch the ‘Players to Watch’ social media campaign at this year’s AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup. We know how important curated content is when connecting with the millions of passionate fans in South East Asia, and hope that we are able to share our excitement for the game with them through this campaign.”

“We are delighted to renew our partnership with AFF and come on board again as an Official Supporter of this year’s AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup. The 2020 edition demonstrated how immensely popular the event is in the region and with the tournament returning to a home-and-away format this year, we look forward to the opportunity to provide an enhanced offering to all the fans,” remarked TMGM Chief Executive Officer, Lee Yu.

Malcolm Thorpe, Managing Director, South East Asia at SPORTFIVE, said: “TMGM has been a valued and trusted partner who delivered innovative fan experiences at last year’s event, such as the well-received ‘Max The Globe’ mascot activation. We are delighted to have them on board again for this year’s AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup and are excited by the opportunities to take the partnership to the next level.”

ASEAN’s biggest and most prestigious football competition, the renamed AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022 will enter its 14th edition this year and see the 10 qualified teams compete in a full home and away format.
